Who We Are

THE CIRCLE OF VIETNAMESE PARENTS FOUNDATION

The Circle of Vietnamese Parents was established in 2017 to provide multilingual and multicultural educational resources for Vietnamese-speaking parents of children with disabilities, as well as to offer emotional support to parents of children with disabilities. Our foundation is led by Vietnamese-speaking parents of children with developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as autism. We currently welcome over 400 Vietnamese-speaking families across the state of Massachusetts, including some from other states. Our multilingual and multicultural materials have been used by parents nationwide.

Furthermore, we also offer culturally relevant training to professionals in various fields, such as teachers, school nurses, special education teachers, and future clinicians, upon request so that they can better address the unique needs of the Vietnamese-speaking community.

VTCMV Documentary: Tet Festival for Children with Disabilities in Boston, Massachusetts

The Circle of Vietnamese Parents, established by Ms. Oanh Bui, a devoted mother of a daughter with a disability, serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity. Fueled by their shared experiences and collective strength, the Circle of Vietnamese Parents, also known as VTCMV, was created with the noble objective of uplifting and guiding families navigating the challenges associated with raising children with disabilities in the United States. In this documentary, the organization commemorates unity and progress through a lively Lunar New Year gathering, joyously attended by Vietnamese-speaking families with children who have disabilities, autism, and Down syndrome. This momentous occasion was further graced by the presence of esteemed individuals such as Mr. Thân Vĩnh Bảo Toàn, former chairman of the Vietnamese community in Massachusetts, as well as former state representative Ms. Trâm Nguyễn and former state senator Mr. Dean Trần.
